• Three vice ministers have been appointed to redevelop rural areas.

• The government program PRESILD (Restructuration Pro­gram of the Logistics System and Distribution of Main Products to the Population) has planned 31 supermarkets nationwide of which 27 have already been opened (results December 2008).

• In 2005 47% of Angolans had no access to clean drinking water. The water program 'Water for All' has been implemented to reduce this percentage and thereby reducing the spread of contagious diseases.

• In 2009 a stock exchange was opened in Luanda to attract risk investment capital to encourage further economic growth.
