- Three vice ministers have been appointed to redevelop rural areas.
- The government program PRESILD (Restructuration Program of the Logistics System and Distribution of Main Products to the Population) has planned 31 supermarkets nationwide of which 27 have already been opened (results December 2008).
- In 2005 47% of Angolans had no access to clean drinking water. The water program 'Water for All' has been implemented to reduce this percentage and thereby reducing the spread of contagious diseases.
- In 2009 a stock exchange was opened in Luanda to attract risk investment capital to encourage further economic growth.
